Amal carbs for Mk3 generic vs Mk3 type

I realize spray tubes etc. have been discussed, and I have tried to read through those....
I have a Mk3 with K&N air filters, and peashooters
Has anyone with a similar set-up installed new premier Amals and used the 'generic' as opposed to Norton specific Mk3 carbs?

I have, and they work great. only difference in my set up is I have Dunstall silencers instead of peashooters, and my MK3 is a 920. I believe the slide are a 3 not 3.5 or vice versa. I questioned the vendor about the difference from stock and he said they would be fine with my set up, and it is. I also bumped up the needle jet size when I installed them.
