Alton Electric Starters

G'Day All,
A bit of news which I believe will be of interest particularly to Australian owners of pre Mk3 Commandos. Late last year Ace Classics Australia (which is me and my crew) were appointed Australian distributors for the Alton Electric Start kit and also the Alton range of AC generators for earlier British bikes. I've noticed posts here regarding the Alton kit and as you would be aware they have been around for some time.

Alton has a culture of continuous product improvement and the kits I have fitted do not fail to impress. I have one on my own '71 750 Roadster after 20+ years of kick start and it brings a smile to my dial each time I press that button.

I keep a stock of the Electric Start kits on hand at our Torquay Vic. premises along with the AC generators for most bikes so we can ship to you Australia wide ASAP or fit it for you in our workshop.

Be assured we are experienced Commando people, working on them and restoring them on a daily basis. Purchasers have full product support from us as long as they own the bike.

My limited understanding is that they had early teething issues, and have been reliable since they implemented a few upgrade/mod/fixes.

I hope you get on well, and that your clients get back to riding bikes that would otherwise have sat out sadly.
