As some of you are starting to guess I do love me a good forum. Since there's no dedicated forum for Cagiva Alazzurras... I made one. Amazingly I already have the highest post count there.

Cagiva Alazzurra Forum

Good for you, Dave!

To me it was one of those bikes that never really stirred the heartstrings - I always thought of these as a Ducati with a moped sticker on it. I know there are those who really like the bike, though.

I look at it this way, without Cagiva Ducati would just be a footnote. I think there should be more respect for the brand that saved Ducati. Similar to how Bloor brought back Triumph from the dead to be a successful brand.

If it was a Pantah it would be around 5K asking price.
At the moment I'm happy playing with a Guzzi Monz 500 :D ...they need a forum too.
How do you set up one of those forums? might have to start a V50 one... lol

I came real close to get this one. Good price. Unfortunately it looked like it had sat outside too long... which it had. Every single fastener was rusty.

The Guzzi snobs really look down on them. Too bad, they seem like neat little bikes.

I picked mine up " not going but should be easy to fix".......turned out the crown wheel was missing...
Alazzurra Forum

Guzzi owners I have met seem a bit obsessed .... especially the one make types.
I gather the fastenings were not that good from day 1, I am however enjoying working on something different.
Hope to have it on the road in a few weeks...gonna be fun on our narrow winding roads.

I had a German guest over recently, works in engineering for Rolls Royce in Germany, rides a CB 1300.....I showed him my bikes.....he liked the old Ducati and BMW.....had never heard of Norton...... I found that amusing and was careful not to mention the war.
I had a modern SS for a while....I prefer the 'Footnote" bevel....

Not exactly an Alazzurra, but have just commenced my Pantah overhaul. Had a squizz at your site Dave, noted a couple of leads for spare parts. Maybe there's a forum out there for Pantah owners. I could post the rebuild here, if it rates as (an)Other Classic Motorcycle???

You mean for all three Pantah owners?

There is the Pantaheads email list but it's barely breathing. You best choices are Alalzurra or Bevelhead forums or email lists. Bevelheven is a good place.

G'day Graeme,

how the hell are you maaaate? Been a while. Have finally started the Pantah resto and will put that transfer kit to good use. Have some pics and words of progress so far (not much admittedly) so will bung it up in a new thread and leave the esteemed Swoosh to his Alazzurras.
