My wife had commitments this morning so I just had to take Doris out and let her stretch her legs. It was a perfect day and Doris purred along without missing a beat for over 120 miles. I made it 115 miles before I had to switch to reserve. For those from So Cal, I ran Silverado Canyon, Trabuco Canyon and the Ortega Highway, both directions. The only problem? I had a doctors appointment this afternoon and had to go back home after just one and a half tanks of gas.

Lake Elsinore from the Lookout

All I needed was more bikes to enjoy the ride.

What a nice ride... I took my 850 from Wilmington to Torrance for an early dinner, not quite as satisfying, but still... Satisfying. These are special bikes - hope to see you and Doris on the road!

I wish I had my '69 running. The last 3 days here in the Mid-Atlantic have been awesome. Low 70 degree temps and humidity in the 50's, nights in the upper 50's. We get these days here about 3 days a year. This year it happened at the end of June. Who knows when it will happen again. Later this week we will be in the 90's with equivalent humidity. Bug City. You take it when you can get it on the East Coast. I knew I should have stayed in CA, too late now.
