Went to my local Brit-bike shop for a chain andrear ISO shims to fit up the turcite type swing arm kit and found a new bar set. It's exactly what I have been looking for since I bought the bike. I had looked at renthal and all other brands of tracker type bar as I love the bend but couldn't find just what I was looking for. Anyway, I bought my chain and stuff , turned around to walk out and saw this set. Raced over and said what are these and label says 1973 commando low bar by Harris.
Seems a bit ridiculous I know but geez it's awesome to find something you've been looking for for ages, especially when you're not quite sure exactly what it is you're looking for.

Yeah, and throw a tape measure into the fray. How tall/how wide? I currently run "European bend" on mine, but they're a bit low, at least with my feet on the forward pegs. Thanks!

I had the euro bars, a bit too low for me. Switched to the us bars, now a bit too close. I need to find ones in between.

I have export T120/X75Hurricane bars on nearly all my bikes, good at normal speeds and look great.

1st photo just bars
2nd with standard euro on top. You can sort of see they kick down at the second curve moving away from the centre point. They also kick back as in below

Tip to tip they measure aprox 800

Beautiful bars particularly in the corner. Really stable control. Have heaps of purchase and solid. Drop some weight into the left hand and she just sits through a tight fast left hander until your ready to exit.

Thanks for the pictures. That slightly more pullback might be just what the doctor ordered.

Low bars are not the way to go with an Interstate unless you have rear sets.

I've been wondering about that. There have been photos of commandos on this site with single seat and drop bars , but footrests in standard position. As a kid one of my bikes was like that, made it hard to live with.
