73 Commando 750 fixer upper

I got an 8AH Yuasa from Clubman. After 2 years it still has 12.5V on it.

Limiting you riding should depend on how it reacts. If all is good, just keep going. I, however, found a few little things that kept me within about 10 miles of home until it all got sorted.

Get an AGM battery and spare the bike any possible acid damage. Any MC shop or even NAPA. As for limtation... how many points on your license?

Pricey but twice the service life of lead-acid at one fifth the weight.
Mine went in slick and works a treat.

Uh, no. Rattle cans are for a quick respray on BBQ's & swing sets .

Taking the bike to another semester of MC repair at the college. should be all ironed out in few weeks

The day I picked up my Norton Commando from the original owner.
Vintage collector of bikes and scooters, also my instructor at the college for MC repair, Bill Brown.
Here's a shot of the bike in the classroom.


We've got nice weather this weekend, I've got class this morning where I should be starting the bike up after a huge mistake installing the piston rings then having to dismantle and redo this week. I've got new rings back on, fit the jugs last night, I'll install the head in class this morning then pray I have all the oil channels working properly. Finally I should have a bad ass bike to enjoy this spring. I'll have to go back into the motor again eventually and do all the mods to the case but I'm starting to get intuitive with the way it all goes together and I'm confident I can keep it on the road for the rest of my life.
