Sure you fans can help me.

I have to sale a genuine 1966 AJS 33 CSR (almost complete but not mounted at all).
A guy interested to buy says that CSR type doesnt have the air pump hoocks on the rear right side of subframe but under the seat.
My other genuine 1967 G15 CSR has the same air pump hocks on the subframe and not under the seat!.
More, my G15 CSR doesnt have sweept back pipes but standard and never had the rear set foot rest but the standard! Foot rest and brake pedal.
Thanks.
Piero

Hi Piero

You are selling a basket case 33CSR? Why not keep it and sell the G15CSR instead? The 33CSR (if genuine) is a rarer bike, as you know.

I believe the correct location for the air pump is along the sloping tube at the far side of the subframe, as seen in this picture:

Hi Knut.
My 33 1966 CSR is italian first registration and is genuine!.
I want to sell because prefer to hold the other 33 (like my G15 MK2).
The fellow interested to buy objects that his friend Paul Morin says that the CSR type had not the tyre pump along the sloping tube, but under the seat.
I have replied thousand times that we can see a lot of CSR with the tire pump on side (as for your pictures) and he replied me that maybe under the seat were only for the english bikes while the export on the side!!!.
I dont deny that there are CSR with tyres pump under the seat but they cannot say that my CSR is not genuine because has the pump along the side!.

Well, if the fellow interested in the bike bails out, you can send me an offer.
Otherwise, I have a complete G15CSR engine here and would be interested in buying a fitting frame with papers.

Paper is italian and bike has also his matching engine and gearbox.

The 65 G15CSR advertised by Yesterdays was NOT 100% correct , the rear sub frame was not a CSR one . The 65 CSR's had one pump clip on the rear mudguard loop and the other on the front mount of the seat. My G15CSR was a one owner bike when my father bought it and was 99% complete and the pump on that lives under the seat , if you think about it the pump would be in the way with the rearset footrests .
Peter.

I won't enter a discussion of where the tyre pump is or is not fitted. Maybe AMC made two versions.
In these last days I've been offered a frame diamond with a peculiar history, as it was assembled in Plumstead in Nov. 1965 as a G15CSR. Obviously it was put into storage, because in January 1966 it was robbed of all parts and converted into a Matchless/Norton N15CS and shipped to Berliners end of January 1966. The works probably needed to fill this export order and took some drastic measures. Anyway, here is the frame diamond with a G15CSR pedigree, but no CSR subframe. Where do I source a subframe? They seem to be avasive.

I also am somewhat leary of getting 'shot down' here for being wrong; however, I'll offer that it's a simple mod involving silver-soldering some stepped compression-tube fittings through the pressed steel triangles for the rear-set peg positions, cutting away the tire-pump hooks plus one cylindrical boss on the top-tube, and removing the brake-switch plate. I've done it, and it came out fine (I have a subframe that had been poorly chromed and otherwise mangled, so replaced it). I've heard some rumors that the CSR subframe's dimensions are different, but I don't believe so. My two cents, if it helps; I have photos of the work somewhere.

I concur regarding dimensional equality. Now I am just curious - which cylindrical boss at the top-tube are you referring to? Which purpose does it serve on the CS and Mk2 models?
