OK, I'm the FNG who owned one of these new in 75/76/77 in Charleston, SC. Bought form Sport Cycle on Dorchester Rd. The VIN was 850F129581. Bike was originally JP Special colors but we changed the tank and side cover to black. Traded it March 1977 to Ed's H-D for an XLCH Sportster. Let's face it, parts were tough to get and the dealer sucked.

Does anyone know where this bike is? If you know of its whereabouts I have a couple of photos I'll send to the owner and I would like to know if it's still around.

Thanks,

Mike

In the Great Hunting Ground in the Sky . ? :?

outside of that , sorry . Sports Motor Cycles / Steve Wynn the entrant / tuner for young Hailwoods sucessfull I.o.M. Ducati P. R. ? Triumph . :x
WAS a NORTON dealer previously . If theyed stayed in operation , who knows .

ANYWAY ; there was a interview / write up , in Motorcycle Sport ( magazine ) wiith them , on NORTONS - reliablity - warranty etc etc .

So been thinking for some time , we should send someone round with a tape recorder to twist his arm regarding the mighty COMMANDOs . please .

Check with Ed's shop if still possible and other shops that might of had to service it in area. There are a number of other Norton and over lapping vintage forums that might get a hit besides here > when folks return to work stations to spend time here. By far most the Norton owners are not online with us on this hobby. May still be in someones back yard, parted out or junked for scape in a divorce.
