I am looking at pod type filter for my 850 mk2. There is very little room between the carb mouth and the air box back plate which is not being removed. Colorado norton works has one that is only 2" thick but they dont have it in stock...it is a one piece filter not individual pods. Is anyone using or found something similar? I have searched but everything appears to be to thick to fit into the limited space. Here is the one from CNW.

Check with British Cycle Supply. I think I remember cNw and BCS having them made and splitting the order.

Thanx guys...I will drop a line to British Cycle Supply and see what they have. The above suggested K&N's are too wide for sure. I have 3.5" wiggle room from the back of the carb and the K&N is 3.875" wide

The K&N filter butts right up against the back plate. I cut off about 1/4” of the rubber at the carburetor side, which helped. It still fit over the carbs just fine.

Greg you were right....just got off the phone with British Cycle Supply and the filters are the same as CNW. Had a great conversation with Mark, the owner...talked about some of the old bikes we grew up on and wish we would have kept. Heck of a nice guy.
