My August 72 build late 72 has a lower compression head with no stamp, 32 mm carbs and ports, standard cam and superblends.

Interesting how 73 had 2- 750's and the 850.
On the 750's, did one know if they were buying a Hi or Lo comp version?
Did the dealer order them as such? Or did they come however Norton shipped them?

Interesting tidbit, when I was buying my new 850 in 73, the dealer, Barney Tillman, was trying to explain to me the 750 was faster than the 850.
I was a little perplexed and wasn't buying it, cause after all, I was 19 and knew everything. He did mention something about compression.
Bought the 850., cause it was Blue............Looking back, wonder if the 750 was a RH6.

My ‘72 has the 32mm ports , and very good compression , have looked for a stamp on head and found nothing , no “C” or any other identifier , seems to work just fine
