1969 Rocket 3:white smoke from the cover timing aperture.

Hi All.

The bike smokes white from the cover timing aperture.

There is the gasket and the two screws are well tightnen.

What does it means?

Could be very dangerous warning sign that the alternator rotor is about to explode from internal friction with the stator.

You need to open the cover and have a look, measure clearance with feelers.

YOULL NEED SOME MORE SMOKE ?

Piston ring end gap too wide. White smoke is blow by.
