Hi everyone Back after some personal stuff :)

Got a slight issue with my 68' fastback tank (with the round inset badges)

looks like it might have been repaired in the past and is bubbling slightly,

just wondering has anyone found replacements that are spot on shape wise?

Thanks in advance

Did inset badges appear on the '68 models? I know all the "green blob" ones were reworked, but I thought the '68's all had the decal (transfer) "badges" on the original design tanks that didn't have the recesses. I thought the recessed badge types were introduced on the '69s. I'd moved to the US by then, so memory could be letting me down.

You might check with Burton Bike Bits. I bought a new fastback tank and tailpiece from them in '08 and both were a perfect match to original part NOTE - this was a fiberglass tank, as was the original. FWIW, I treated the tank when new/unused with epoxy sealer and gas sits in all the time with no issue (so far). They said it was constructed with ethanol-resistant resin but I felt more comfortable doing the sealing anyway.

Tom, I have on of the Burton bike bits tanks it's not what you're looking for. I think either it's a repair of your old tank , custom build or a second hand one but I think you know all this already.

I tried to contact Burton a while ago about a round badge fastback tank with no response , I have one of theirs I got many years ago that was very nice however the professional installed liner is now failing

I cleaned it out as best as I can and will use this fuel while running the bike then dumping it out right away , as it is a show bike only ,I can get by.

With no ethanol and other unique properties to keep it stable, VP Small Engine Fuel is an excellent long-term storage fuel. It will remain stable indefinitely in a sealed container and won’t degrade plastic, rubber or fiberglass components in your fuel system, allowing quick starts even after equipment sits idle for many months. It’s so reliable, many Fire & Rescue units have come to depend on it.
