Hey guys. I had to replace my clutch Center on my 68 commando. My layer year commandos have a riveted plate in the basket. This bike the plate came out with the finer and plain plates.
It has two small holes on it as does the basket.
Is it suppose to have locating pins?

The pins always break and the last plate shifts off center and throws the balance out, You can see the two pin"holes" in the drum .

At about 100 MPH the bike will start to wobble and be unstable.

An easy fix is to buy a used 850 drum with the "riveted" 3 fastener improvement and use it.

Thanks guys.
I’ve got a few riveted baskets out in the shed. I’ll grab one of those.
You also answered my next question. “Will a 850 basket work in a 750?”
