My 1967 Atlas has frame and engine matching 20/122... numbers.
But the gearbox is NA 17..
Does the gearbox matching numbers too?
Or has different numbers?
Five numbers.
Thank you.
Piero

My frame and engine numbers match on my '67 Atlas, the numbers on the transmission do not. According to the NOC, my bike was an early in the year '67, and also still had the magneto and monoblocs.

Hi and thank uou.
My Atlas has the numbers of the midle of 1967 and ha the points.
Please, the frame has the numbers stamped on or has the VIN plate like Commando?
Where they are the numberz?
Ciao
Piero

Mine are stamped on the frame on the left hand side, I think. I would be more specific, but I am not at home to look.

I'm not sure, but on the slimlines I know the number is stamped on the left below the batterybox, on the plate where the rear fork is mounted.
On the engine it's stamped on the front/left below the cylinderbarrel.

All featherbed frames are serial number stamped on the drive side swingarm (rear fork) support plate.

Model code is 2 digits at the top stamped left to right, serial number is a vertical column of single digits stamped just below the model code.

I agree. The frame and engine numbers match. The gearbox numbers do not match.

In the parts books.

Slick has given you a link to one.
Don't think they are readily viewable online anywhere, you have to download the parts books.
Or buy the printed versions...

Item call out number 4 is drawn backwards in the diagram above. Andover Norton has caught this error and has posted a warning, but some older diagrams may be around without the warning (like the one in my Norton Owners Manual), so be aware. The part should be flipped over for proper assembly.
