1964 G15 regrind the crankshaft journals

Hi All.
The crankshaft journals need to be regrinded to -0,20.
I would use a NOS Glacier bearing shell set; these shells have not the central oil way holes but neither the conrods have holes.
This set has two shells of grey colour in and out, and the other two shells that are of grey colour only into the internal side while the external side are of copper colour.
Please, what it means?.
Are the Glacier good stuff?.

Post pictures and I can identify the shells, include a picture of the stampings on both types of shells.

Glacier developed AS15 bearing material which is now out of patent and is now the most produced shell bearing material globally.

These shells are possibly Aluninium Tin AS15 for the bottom shells and the higher strength Copper Lead Bronze for the top shell.

There is still a Glacier/Vandervell plant in Trento, now called Mahle.

these hole were a mod for the Commando at one time later the idea was dropped -so I wouldn't worry your bonny little head about having no holes in the con rods or b/e shells.
