Gents,

I am currently looking at the purchase of a 47 Norton ES-2 thats in real nice shape at a reasonable price for what my research has lead too?

My question being About the girder front end. Did the “47” have girders and plungers? I have seen many plungers but only one other girder in my on-line research. Either set up fine with me…just curious.

It also needs a magdyno rebuild….any info on that too?

thanks.

Roy Bacon lists the 16H and Model 18 for 1946 still having girders, tele's for all from 1947 on.
Engine and frame numbers would help confirm things.

I will try to get the number when I get a chance. Would an very early model have girders since everything was a mess after the war?

Absolutely embarrassing! It was advertised as a 47 but is a 46! Stupid me. Should have called and asked when I was unsure.

As for parts, I’ve been looking online and it’s been a little troublesome just trying to find a items as points for the mag when those go out…any tips on parts or parts source for ES2?

Are most ES2 parts interchangeable?

Thanks for any help.
