I just bought a 19" SS spoke set, supposedly for an MK3, on eBay. My spokes look like crap so I'm aiming for an SS set once winter hits (or when I feel like having the wheels relaced).

I wasn't really thinking about the whole MK3 thing--more focused on it being for 19" rims than anything.

I guess now I need to find out of any of the kit will work on a non-MK3 850 with 19" front and rear rims. Obviously, the rear hub is for a drum brake, not a disc as on the MK3. Hopefully at LEAST the front set will work on my front disc rim. As for the rear, however........No idea.

Rims must be drilled to aim spokes correctly for the type of hub, drum or disc brake, front or rear. Rim dia has nothing to do with that. Front disc hub rim uses 4 different spoke lengths. Rear drum just two different lengths. Don't know about other combo's. Front disc rim has a definite disc side to its spoke drilling and should be labeled inside for this, or can take all winter to assemble to find out for sure.

Ah crap. I was hoping the rear set would at least work on another front disc. Well hell. Guess I'll just have to try to sell the rear set so I can buy the correct one for my bike.

Thanks for the useful link, LAB.
