In case anyone here does not know, MotorSport is a British magazine that has been running for 85 years, and has the best, most well-written articles, IMO, covering all aspects of the sport - FIA, FIM, WRC, etc. This issue is still on the stands in the US. I received a copy as a gift for Christmas, and have been going through it little by little.

Of particular interest to Norton fans would be a story about one of their long-time contributors, Denis Jenkinson, who campaigned a 350 Norton in 1949-50, and rode passenger with Eric Oliver on a 596cc twin-cam Norton with sidecar, winning the first FIM world title - 1949 Champion du Monde, Sidecar 600 CMC.

Also a small news article about the Norton name coming home to Britain under Stuart Garner and Norton Racing Ltd., He now owns trademark and development rights to Norton, Manx, Commando, Atlas and Dominator, and is setting up shop at Donington Park.

Great read, highly recommended

Cheers Bill,
have noticed it on the stands here in Aus, but haven't bought it yet. Tend to buy mags in the following order: Classic and Sportscar, Thoroughbred and Classic Cars and finally Motor Sport if there's any money left!

I have read articles in both Classic Bike and Norton News about the new Norton undertaking. Since both of these articles were written a few months ago, I am curious to know where things stand as of the new year. Anyone in England have an update they can share? As pointed out in the articles mentioned, this is a BIG undertaking, and it sounds incredibly ambitious, and a bit of a leap, to say the least.

If Mr Garner has pockets as deep as Mr Bloor, Norton has a good chance. If he has to chase around for investors (or seek backers, as they say over there), it may be just another shattered dream.
