MikeT and I took the Nortons out for a spin tonight.

100 miles of fun!

Behind the bikes is the Evergreen Air Museum in McMinnville, Oregon. Besides the 747 parked out front they took another 747 and made a water park out of it. And in another building is the Spruce Goose.

100 miles of fun!

Overlook so you can stop and see some birds or something. We were more interested in stretching our backs.

100 miles of fun!

Stopped for ice cream on the way back.

The clutch worked beautifully! If I get too many speeding tickets I may put the extra plate back in…

I do have another reoccurring problem, after a sustained running (60-ish mph for 20-30mins) the bike may die when coming to a stop. It starts up pretty easily right away.

Not sure what this is.

Dave, we rode thru your general today, en route to Weaverville, Ca. We were thinking of going to McMinnville but stopped at the Tillamook Air Museum instead. It is a shadow of it's former self. The main exhibitor removed his collection, which must have been ninety percent of the planes on display, and all were in flyable condition. It sounds as though there was some kind of $ dispute and he flew them all out of Tillamook. The few planes that remain look as tho they are not flyable, so likely Tillamook is a good storage option for those owners. Sadly, it is not really worth visiting anymore. Half the building is rented out for motor home storage!

That has happened twice on my 850 recently. Both times the ign warning light went out. Both times, I had to remove the fuse and give it a rub. Both times it started and got me home. My fuse is the type with aluminium fuse material wrapped round both ends. Please note:- that spelling is correct.
