Following a post on a popular social media site where a trashed motor has been artistically displayed on a garage wall...
It’s a ‘72 with the rear case breather and the ‘starter’ cover plate.
I’d always assumed this plate was deleted for the 20xxxx series, but the parts book still lists it.
I’ve had two Combats and neither had the plate.
So the question is... when was the change made, and was it associated with the introduction of the Combat motor?
OK - 2 questions...
