Morning gents,
Just bought a 1 owner 2010 961 Sport fitted with factory loud pipes (bike no 73 in my biking career) and joined this forum. Really pleased with the bike although there are a couple of niggles after only a couple of days of ownership. The tank is covered in micro-blister (a lot of the early ones were like that Sir, its a characteristic! Lol!) and one of the front mounting threads is already stripped so I am looking for a replacement tank in Black with a gold stripe if anyone has one? I am thinking about an Ali one too but need to find someone here in GB who can make me one as the factory tank is way out of my budget! Also I am surprised to see that the battery strap has already nearly perished! I have never seen this on any of the previous jap bikes I have owned, some being 40 yrs old.
This forum has been invaluable in my search for info though and I have purchased the necessary Bosch replacement electrical components and leads already, although I have no starting/running issues with mine.....yet.
So keep up the good work and I'll let you know how things go!
Thanks
Dave
