I don't know if any of you NOG Members are interested in a total restoration video blog on YouTube or not. But I am starting one today. I have never done it before so it might be a little rough on the edges. My Garage is about 90% complete now and I will be starting to work on the Norton again.
If you are interested or just plain bored you can find it by typing in (Norton Commando restoration Video #1)... and 2 and so on.
Thank you,
Bruce

Pretty decent "before" donor bike, should make a great contrasting "after" comparison!

It was a hodge- podge of different years of bikes put together. But it was a good starting place to do a resto.
I can't wait to hear it run some day. Hopefully by spring I should have it back together. I will continue with the videos as I go along.
thank you
Bruce

hee hee

Too many times down that road, never again. It's not even all that wise to have a roller that's "mostly complete" unless you have the stomach for it. Certainly no profit in it, but I'll never learn.

I finished up a 70 Roadster last spring, took about 18 months to get it up and running. Now I'm off and working on a 74 Mk2A. I tell my wife it's a sickness.

Beautiful man. That is about how mine should look when done. I am going with a fiberglass front fender though. The metal flake purple looks great. I have never seen a green one so that is the colour I'm using. I see you are using the fiberglass tank I am going to try and make a metal tank but one gallon bigger but look identical to the original one.

OP's video series is very useful! Seen the whole epic tale so far....keep them coming Man!

The YouTube Channel is "Motor Oil & Beer"

On a similar note I have just seen on the AN site under the news tab (scroll down a couple of pages) that a book on restoration is now available by Chris Rooke
