Thanks Simon for the offer to look into my problems. I wrote to Simon last week as well as chasing my dealer.

No response as yet but I am fully confident that things are moving in the background.

So now a month since Simons offer to look into things, I responded in a PM and nothing from Donington todate.

I have had a response from my dealer who has ordered parts but cannot confirm an ETA.

I accept that none of my issues are stopping me from riding but I took delivery over a year ago and these issues were recorded on day 1.

Bike is running well and handles fantastically.

I just seem to be the victim of restructuring at both the dealer and the manufacturer at the same time. Dropped bike at dealer in Nov. Two weeks later, was told Norton instructed them on the procedures of confirming my problem (oil leak from crankcase seam). Two months later, I stopped by the dealer. They said there is a communication problem and nothing was done to the bike. I PM'd Simon. The dealer called (thanks to Simon) and told me Norton called them twice in one day and instructed them on how to confirm the problem. (see above) I told the dealership that Norton told them that two months prior and the communication problem is with them. "Oh, sorry. We've had personnel changes" Stopped by a month later, nothing done. New guy was out sick. Just received a phone call stating Norton approved the job and will be sending out parts and procedure. All that in over 4 months time. WTF? Weather is getting nice here in NY. Guess I can sit on the porch watching all the bikes go by for another month or two or.................. Warranty is finished in May. I don't really fault Norton here. I think it is more my dealership. Thanks again for Simon's input.

Curtis,

The issues at the dealer can be vexing for sure.
I've been there, and done that.
I hope it's all done soon, and worth the wait.

Hi Peter

The dealer network is the customers first (and in most cases, only required) point of contact for any Norton queries, the factory will only get in touch when / if the dealer fails to respond to the customer or sort out the issue. The fact the dealer has been in contact is what matters in this case. However if you still feel you don't have enough info / your issue resolved, then please feel free to drop me a PM with your concerns, specifically the parts you are waiting for and I will go find out what the hold up is. Parts availability is continuously improving, so if you are still without your part I would imagine its a "paper work / process" hold up that I can chase down if you let me know the details.

Kind Regards

Simon

Hi Skiddy,

I have spoke to our Australian distributor who has been in contact with your dealer and got to the bottom of it, long story short the paperwork suggested your claim had been dealt with and no further action was required, obviously this wasn't the case. There is a new part on its way from Sydney to your dealer as I type this. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards

Simon
