Yea. I rode mine of Thursday for 140mi. and it was great. Today, after warming up, went to fill up and when restarting, it would low idle and stall. Had to keep it revved till I got on the highway. Then, after 10 miles, my trip meter went back to zero and started to recount. The digital read wouldn't scroll through the other functions either. Stuck on Trip mode. When I got home, I just kept restarting it and playing with it, then it came back. Annoying quirks. Did another 60 miles today. The electrical components are a pain in the ass. Guess I need that patch kit.contours said:Britfan60 said:Contours. I'm wondering if you had a similar issue as Patchy-man. The Clutch Safety Switch stuck in under the clutch lever.
Except my bike was starting up okay. It just wouldn't warm up and idle. I thought for sure it was a failed temperature sensor, but it seems fine now. I took 'er out for 70 mile ride this afternoon and she ran just fine the whole way.

My bike never gets wet. I wipe it down with a washless spray wax after every ride. The problem is intermittent. That happened to me after it sat at the dealership for 6 months off of a tender. It stopped when I started riding it more and hooked up the battery tender. I'm wondering if my battery is getting weak. Someone suggested that to me about two years ago. Also, I think I should get the ignition wire and coil kit for the stalling. Matt Capri said the current wires are crap when I told him of this problem.BPHORSEGUY said:Don't know if the patch would go fix that, anything get wet?

Cos quite a lot of the posts would have read:Wonder how this thread went to sleep back in 2016 considering all the issues with the 961.
I would think this thread should have at least 10000 pages by now.
Vintage Commando then ?I looked at my Combat again to this morning. It's hard not to. It's sitting in my office, right beside me. It's been here since it arrived in February. I've been restoring it somewhat, and it's a wonderful distraction from my work. I still have the clutch to work on and then the fork service. Then it should be ready to ride. In the meantime, it sure is beautiful to look at!
You have been through three bikes since you got rid of yours .. No maybe just two. BMW Ducati Harley did I miss one ?Cos quite a lot of the posts would have read:
