"Route 66 & ride to Seattle"

You did it, man! I saw your progress on your web page and couldn't wait til you posted here for the brethren. You've done a wonderful service to the Norton name.

I'm glad for you and your son's time together.

Peter

You must be psychic. I actually went to bed thinking I'll do a search in the morning to see how your trip is going. Haven't heard much in a while. Well.....I still can't believe you did all that two up, so a big congratulations to you both. Your photos are fantastic. I think you've given me a new "bucket list". Not riding that on my Norton, but at least more places to see. 1000 miles per week average. FANTASTIC!! Keep in touch. You've just made the list of Norton heros.

Looks like you had a blast. Route 66 is on the bucketlist someday. Thanks for posting

So in the short time norton has been back, two brave soles and richards son as pillion, have taken long trips on 961's proving they can. Congrats.

It's a pity you won't be around the Northwest in late October. The town where we live, Anacortes, has a big biker event called the Oyster Run the last weekend of the month. In the 16 years we've lived here, the biggest crowd was about 30,000 bikes, many wth two up. The weather is unpredictable at that time of year (a lot like the UK) , so it can vary a lot. I always go into town to look at the bikes and it's VERY rare to see any Nortons or AJS and not many British "classics" either.

It will be interesting to see if any 961s show up this year.
