Pillion footrest lug

Hi all,
I am trying to locate stainless pillion footrest lugs, p/n 030321 (CEI threads) or 060487 (UNF threads, Commando). Is there anyone making them?
I've received samples from a well-known British source starting with N... and the quality is appalling and beyond repair.

Hi Tom, I believe "bsanut" sources his parts with N..... , thus no improvement I am afraid, but I will verify to be sure.

RGM Motors do 060487S for £6.90 + vat each
Phone and ask, but I think they are made in-house ?
RGM stuff is excellent and they are great
Web site says more than 10 in stock

Thanks Staytite, I have seen it. Waiting for RGM to respond to my query. I hope the pivot hole is correctly made.

Wrong fixing bolt/stud thread (BSF suits neither AMC nor Commando), and pivot bolt bore too large for the 1/4" pivot bolt. How hard can it be to make a copy of a simple genuine part? Marketing substandard parts using oem spare part numbers is rude towards the customer.

I'm afraid he gets stuff made as cheaply as possible
And just does not care about his customers at all
It is truly amazing that a simple part cannot be copied!
Did he blame you for fitting it wrong?

Worse still, vendor N.... served me an outright lie. "These parts are genuine Norton old stock .... They are all still as they were made in 1968."

Genuine Norton? Haha. Genuine N..... old stock, maybe, and possibly rejects.

"... as they were made" .... making such a statement after having read my specific complaints is remarkable, to put it politely.

Hey, I have no desire to start a new rant against vendor N..... . We need suppliers who make good parts which we can trust. I'd rather pay a premium price to obtain a trustworthy spare part, than having to struggle for weeks or months fixing or replacing substandard parts.
In the end, my time is more worth than saving a nickel or two. A recommendation of a machinist who does turning and milling of small batches and one-offs is gratefully received.
