Festival of 1000 Bikes July 7th 8th

I’ll be there from Friday night through to Sunday.

I’ll be in the race paddock, and usually try and get a space down the bottom towards the marque.

I’ll have my blue ‘74 and my new 961, so should be fairly easy to spot. I’ll be riding both on the track.

Would welcome meeting any fellow Access Nortoners.

Nigel.

Nigel I will hear your Brookings 850 exhaust so no worries.. see you on the Sunday

Ahh, sadly not sir, the Trident Hunter is currently bedecked with stock pipes and peashooters.

The Brooking system will hopefully be going on the new motor, as it should work with my chosen cam.

But... I fear it would be too noisey for a restricted noise track day.

The 1000 bike festival is restricted on the Saturday, and open pipes ‘full noise’ on the Sunday.

I was beginning to get worried as the regs hadn't arrived, but they came today.

Got the 850 and 961 out on Saturday as road bikes, and the 850 out on Sunday as a 'race bike'!

Weather looks cracking, should be a good 'un...

Mine were waiting for me when I got back from Spa, they had entered the Seeley in the road bike sessions on Saturday :(. A quick phone call has got me into the Sunday sessions.

Can you post a pic of the rear of your bike? I’ll recognise you then when you come past me!

Be sure to wave...

Ha, I am not a racer so I may need a picture of your bike for the same reason, I am not sure which sessions I am in, Stuart did tell me but I didn't realise why he was telling me over the phone so I promptly forgot. It will get sorted when I sign on.

Take care, gentlemen. I hope you are both past your 'crash and burn' stage. If not, go slow and work up.

I don’t ride on the track regularly enough to stay ‘honed’ Al, so I always TRY to start out slow and build up.

It’s not easy tho !

I have never been honed, but there are certain things I really dont like and hospitals and pain are right at the top of the list :)

Its seeing the bike after the medical stuff that hurts..anyway will be on the ZZR , not the Holdsworth 40 miles is too far in this heat so blue calico bag with two white swans and one walking stick. It should be a brilliant meet if the weather holds.
