I have started the assembly, something i have been looking forward to for some months but best laid plans still seem to bite me in the bum!- On visual in spection the cup and cone steering head bearings looked ok but as soon as i i installed them and fitted the yokes i was proven very wrong they were as notchy as, and by this time it is Saturday afternoon and all the speciallist shops are closed, So For my plan of attack i knew i had some new 6205 2RS bearings at work so i went and got but now i had to find a piece of pipe to make a bearing spacer, Saturday night beers with freinds and yes a mate had a piece in his garage that i could have [thanks Trev], so a bit of time on the lathe and a spacer i had. As previously stated i had asembled the forks so fitting them was strait forward. swingarm also has been refitted so some progress has been made for the weekend.
