961 Norton – Dominator Air Box Removal Manual

Download the complete PDF version using the green download button at the top right of this page for a detailed Norton 961 Dominator air box removal guide created by Richard Coote. This illustrated workshop manual explains how to remove the carbon air box assembly from the motorcycle, identify the main mounting points and inspect the related air intake components once the unit has been taken off the bike.

The guide begins with removal of the side plates and the two air box mounting bolts, one on each side of the frame. It then shows the intake area after removal and provides clear views of the complete air box assembly off the motorcycle, including the air temperature sensor, drain fitting, washable air filter, air filter cover screws and the two main mounting studs.

Additional photographs show the front and rear faces of the Dominator air box in detail, making it easier to understand how the intake boots, filter opening and auxiliary fittings are arranged. The manual also notes that the washable air filter can be removed without taking the entire air box off the motorcycle, which is useful for routine filter service.
