Out walking the dog earlier and found this in the local brook
I've walked this brook thousands of times in the last 40 years and never seen this before
It's an le veloccette
Just needs a bit of Tcut and it'll be away I reckon 🤔

Wow! that's a perfect picture to start a rebuild thread! I thought these two (parts of the same bike) were a horrific start:

Turned into a show winner!

I was there for that event, and happened to snap this shot. Very nice workmanship!View attachment 123888View attachment 123888
I wasn't even going to enter it because it was clearly not the "prettiest" Norton there and had some things I like that are non-standard. But it did have things like original fenders, seat, original engine covers that weren't perfect.

Not sure people noticed the black yokes or black rear brake pedal. The chrome was very bad on the brake pedal so I blasted off what I could and powder coated it. I dislike all the various silver-type colors clashing in the front end of Commandos. So I normally powder coat the yokes black. To me black next to chrome is good, silver paint next to chrome is bad.

Thanks for posting the pictures - they are better than the ones I took!
