What are people using for luggage?

A rucksack, the 961 isn't really a practical touring bike after all.

I've seen them with tank bags and panniers so someone has figured it out.

In told triumph Bonneville pannier rails go on with a bit of flexing so you could then use some throw overs. Has anyone fitted a sports rack ?

I fitted old plastic Krauser frames and top box rack ( which bolt into a unit) by removing pillion footrests, and extending upwards via a flat plate to meet the forward bottom corner of frames, using top shock mount via a very short offset bracket, and a flat strip across between top rear corners of pannier frames , going under rear of tail, with small metal connecting bracket. As used at the current Euro NOC Rally.

I think we're stretching the term 'practical' here. But there again Mum and Dad's 1929 Rudge Special was hardly a PanAmerica.....

Very good idea if you don’t carry a pillion.

and the bike got best 961 at the rally!
