This is a classy and technically insightful motorcycle site.
If he didn't need the help he wouldn't ask.
There are some members in here who alone have exceeded 14 thousand postings, and still offer
zero monetary support.
Are the non-VIP guys really fine with letting JD do the work and cover the costs and then letting the other members help pay the bills?

I know this thread will get locked out for the same reason JD locked his own thread requesting help, stay on motorcycle point and avoid all the BS a thread such as this one stirs up.
Fine, use that five bucks to get yourself one more beer.

Thanks
I think the main thing that will help here is to get the classifieds system going. The ads already posted are coming up by all the big players like BAT. If I can get as many users to post ads and sell parts, bikes and services it will be good. The more ads posted the more popular and viral this section will become. It’s great exposure. For now any registered user can post ads while I promote this. Please go for it… I need to post more of my stuff there too! In about a month regular users won’t be able to post ads, they will need to upgrade.

Since I did a lot of SEO work on the site there are many more viewers or registered users who don’t upgrade or register. In fact we are now getting on average 1/4 to 1/2 million hits per a month or more. This extra bandwidth is costly. That coupled with the fees PayPal are now charging is what is making it harder for me.

Anyway the forum is NOT going anywhere and will always be here as long as I am alive and after,

Jerry

Jerry,

I don’t think the current page format is helping traffic mate, all that ‘blankness’…

Is it possible to post an eBay link in classifieds or anywhere else?
Hi Mark,

I have been looking into this. I have opted for the classifieds ads in the new section to stay open without an auto closing date. I figured users can close or mark item as sold when they want to and to let ads run as long as members want. This creates a problem. For example ads re-linking in the new classifieds system as they will stay open for ever and even after the eBay ad has closed. I will get into this a bit later and see if I can do something.

For now we have this forum: https://www.accessnorton.com/ClassicMotorcycles/craigslist-ebay-etc.35/
In there is the best place to re-post links to other places like eBay, Craigslist or BAT. I had created that forum before to auto delete posts after 120 days so when the eBay ad expires they dont stay open forever in our forum. We will leave it like this for now. So post any links there please,

Jerry
