Ive never seen this before, curious as to what the list thinks. Vendor says that the crank has been vapour blasted! Sort of removes any ability to see what the surface condition was upon disassembly.

I would stay away. Since the crank doesn't come apart, it will be difficult to ensure that there is no blast media inside

You can take out the oil gallery plugs and clean as you always would do on any rebuild. But I would not be comfortable with any media that got pounded into the surfaces.

Looks like it has not been protected correctly when vapour blasted, I would not touch it. Soda blasting would have been a better option, but some who offer this say they will just vapour blast it and there is a big difference.

They should have taped the journals with insulation tape , I was wondering what size bearings would be included. 010" hopefully , not std ! , would definitely require plugs out and a dam good cleaning , even tap the threads as grit can get stuck anywhere plenty of gallery brush cleaning.

It is sad to see a good crank damaged or a bad crank camouflaged.

The rules of vapour blasted and shot blasted parts = clean it, clean it again and when you think it is really clean then clean it again. Ideally, if a part really does not these these treatments, then don't get them done.
