PS: @acotrel FWIW, I dated a friend of Bonnie Raitt, Bobbie Shelton, whose daddy was part of the not-so-top-shelf band "Light Crust Doughboys" more popularly known as Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.

There you have all my knowledge of music, ..... I still consider Waylon my favorite artist.... he and I were both crazy in our youth, but it kept us from going insane!

I really like Waylon Jennings. There is something in his voice which makes him sound very genuine. I also like Tony Joe White.

Some people seem to feel a necessity to fit into some sort of mould, so their thinking becomes restrained. When I was in secondary school, the best paid profession was medicine, with dentistry second. Most of my mates became doctors and two became dentists. My mate became a doctor in the army in VIetnam. He became blinded when a Yank stood on a mine beside him. He was at a school reunion I attended. When I told him what I did in my work, he said 'that is much more interesting than being a General Practitioner, most of these other guys are bored shitless'. If I had never loved motorcycles, I might have studied harder, and gone down that sort of path.The need for money should not be allowed to shape what we do. I usually only ever do things in which I have a genuine interest.
I listen to all types of music. I love classical, blues, rock - there is good and bad in all of them. Good art creates an emotion, and I am very conscious of my emotions. - Many people are not conscious of their emotions, and persevere when they are feeling really bad - it is a recipe for disaster. Alcohol enhances emotions - both good and bad.

It was really funny. After I became divorced from my ex, I used to go to pubs and drink a bit. When I was driving home fron a pub one night, there was music on the car radio which sounded excellent. I heard the same music the next day and it was absolute crap. I don't usually drink alcohol - only when I am eating-out with my wife. I have spent half of my life struggling to remaine sane. I must be the cheapest drunk on the planet. I really like a glass of Shiraz while I am eating a steak. Unfortunately, there is no live music in our town, or in any other in north-east Victoria.
We used to have a classical group who played in our local art gallery, however the Director must have thought music is not art.

With my computer, I have Minitool Video Editor and Internet Download Manager. I download video clips of the same artists, then edit them together seamlessly to make hour-long concerts as 3 gigabyte MP4s . They play on my large flat screen TV which has a sound system attached. Those Dave Hicken videos are excellent.
My baby grand daughter loves Leonid and Friends who play Chicago's music. I have them as MP3s which I play in my car as I drive her to school. When I asked her does she like the music - she said - 'I LOVE this music'.

Actually, my brother is more into music than I am. He is the harpist in the Dortmann- Mannheim Orchestra in Germany. When we were kids, I played the mandolin when I really wanted to play the guitar. My brother got the piano when my grandfather died. He hates motorcycles.
I like to listen to music - with my brother, it is an obsession.

Maybe, but, having a warm place to sleep, and food in your babies bellies sometimes requires a person to work.

Apparently he had an early-ish 850 with a CNW starter. That bike was auctioned off not long ago, it fetched a good price. I remember a Bike magazine article in late 1973 in which he mentioned having a new Z1, and that Greg Lake and Carl Palmer had bought Kawasaki 250 triples as they didnt have full bike licences.

Eerie non-sensical noises from a Moog synthesizer, got real boring real quick even with the THC fog layering the upper and lower levels of the concert hall.
My date and I left early even though the ticket costs put a big dent in my dishwashing savings.
Robert Palmer was the one who I thought had something going music wise.

I have been a Vivaldi fan since I first heard his string concertos (not the Four Seasons) when I was 17.
There is a lot to explore and listen to and still enjoying new ventures into the classical realm, even today. I keep classical going when my grandkids are here and they seem to enjoy it. Although my 8 yr. old grand daughter also requests Taylor Swift, which is allowed only when i am out of hearing range.

I have 3 step grand-kids. Two are on shared custody, one is with my wife step daughter and myself, full time - she is the youngest, and is now 7. When she was a baby, she used to lay on a rug on our lounge-room floor and listen while Jacques Loussier was palaying versions of classical music. She used to sing along with the music with her baby voice. These days I usually drive her and one of her sisters to school each day. I play music in my car - when I asked the youngest if she likes the music, she said 'I LOVE this music. It was Leonid and Friends playing Chicago.

I must be a bit strange. When I told my wife about the three passions in my life, I did not mention her because she is sort of part of me. But I love chemistry, classic racing motorcycles and music. In my life, I usually only ever do things in which I have a genuine interest, and I only ever applied for jobs which involved my interests - so I always got the best jobs.
Currently, I use Internet Download Manager to get music video clips. Then I use Minitool Video Editor to put them together seamlessly into one hour long movie of about 3 gigabytes. 12 movies will fit onto a $7 32 GB USB memory stick.
I have a horror about ending up in a nursing home. I have given a few of the memory sticks to our local nursing homes where people go to wait for God.
A good thing to do is download Scenic Relaxation videos and put appropriate music to them. Minitool Video Converter will give a MP3 from a music video. When I make a decent hour long music video, I get the sound track as an MP3. A CD with less than 640 Mbyte will play in my car.
Apart from being an industrial chemist, I have a post-grad diploma in occupational hygiene. I have an interest in psychological factors. A lot of people in nursing homes have dementia - I talk to their activities person.

I put a Vivaldi track to a travel video of Venice - it was very pleasant. I will try to find the music. I always thought music from religious people would be very restrained. But the Red Priest is excellent.

It's raining today so I tuned the piano and tried it out with some Debussy.
After my shoulder was injured in the cow attack last year I couldn't play at all with the left hand. It just flopped around.
Now I can do a couple of minutes, so I picked the middle section of this piece as it's my favourite part.
