I ordered something from Andover Norton to be shipped via Royal mail and USPS. Got a shipping notification from AN and a tracking number for Royal Mail but it shows no movement since Saturday. There is a notice in the tracking website about a work stoppage supposed to happen starting the 9th of Dec. Wonder what the chances of me actually getting it before hell freezes over are?

My experience of the strike so far has the packages doing a lot better than the tracking, posted a cheque to the bank with tracking, it was showing in the bank account 3 days before the tracking finally said it had been delivered.

I've had several direct e-mails from Norvil. They keep doing it.
Have a beer, relax, that bike ain't goin' anywhere for a couple months

Had a chat with the local postie a couple of days ago. She is fed up with striking, but said it is not so much about pay as about changes to Ts & Cs.

The management want them to start work later, and thus finish later. Amongst other things.

What do you expect its Xmas time and unions like to hold people to ransom to get their own way at the wrong time.

Update! according to AN it was picked up on Monday the 5th. Tracking still shows it as waiting to be picked from vendor. So is it fallen behind the seat of the truck? Fell off a bench and kicked under the table at the post office? Or just never scanned in but on its way to me? One can only hope......

Don't go by the tracking
I have had messages claiming to have attempted delivery when I know I was home at 6pm
And then returned to depot at 6.05
And the depot is over 25miles away

I too placed an order on Sunday and they tell me after me questioning that it was never picked up by the postal service replied that it in fack has been picked up. I guess mine might be stuck somewhere in a truck not scanned and looking for a home. The order I placed a week earlier made it to my house in Canada 4 days later a day ahead of schedule and the tracking worked perfect.

Been 3 weeks now and no sign of it. Tracking still shows it waiting for pickup at AN. If it truly left the UK I would have gotten USPS tracking by now. I bought what I needed elsewhere so now what do I do about things?

Well as of today it finally shows movement. US Postal service has been notified to expect it.....anybody need a swingarm spindle and bushing kit? I got a spare now, let it go cheap! o_O

looks like we could see the end of the royal mail
Or the service could become so expensive that it's not worth using
