Yes,correct English gallons. Are those imperil gallons? I'd like some imperial mileage from U.S. gallons.
Hi Mak , I like this topic. That's pretty good range and I can't come close to that now with my Delta 400/DynoJet tune. I get about 125 miles and warning light - I have to get gas. Do you recall how much gas you put in when you got to the gas station ? 153 /55 = 2.78 imperial gallons ? 2.78 x 1.20095 = 3.338 US Gallons. The reason I was excited to get the larger aluminum gas tank was hopefully being able to have access to 4.0 US gallons before stopping for gas. Anybody get some range data on the aluminum gas tanks yet ? Thanks !Yesterday my MK 2 did 153 miles until the warning light came on.

I'd like some Imperial Gallons at U.S. prices !!Are those imperil gallons? I'd like some imperial mileage from U.S. gallons.
Tony is right on. Anything beyond 10 miles and if you drop down this low the fuel pump has issues grabbing fuel consistently.David Coote reports 20 miles maximum after light on. I would suggest 10 miles to be safer.
No range measured at the time, but it cut out with NO warning at all.Has anyone run the tank dry after the fuel light has come on, and what sort of range was that.?
Filled up with 12.54 litres of petrol.Yesterday my MK 2 did 153 miles until the warning light came on.

My low fuel light flashed on then went off quickly, was going up a hill and the next time it came on it stayed on, then just a couple of miles to the petrol station.Am I the only one that doesn’t really trust that dubious little light? It’s winked at me a few times, when I don’t believe I was nearing empty and has not given me the nod when I knew I was! Luckily our Sunday thrash rides are mostly <200 clicks, so it’s not really an issue.
Really useful to know! Just gotta remember to engage old man brain and set the trip before riding off the forecourt. Remembering that I didn’t, whilst tucking in to a fat boy breakfast at the turnaround point, doesn’t work quite as well!Normally around 140 miles then 10 miles on the light. However.... when the light comes on anything more than mild acceleration and the petrol sloshes away from the pickup like it hit the rev limiter.

Went back and checked, you have a modern Norton. I have a 74 Mk2a and got confused. I will go back to sleep now.Warning light?

140 miles. light never came on. Sigh. Stuck on the road. Lucky day. Guy with a fuel can stopped and filled me up. Refused payment. Pay it forward.Has anyone run the tank dry after the fuel light has come on, and what sort of range was that.?
