A friend contacted me about a 125 2 stroke Enfield that is supposed to be close by his place. He doesn't really want it and offered it to me. Neither one of us has seen it yet, just one of those stories. But I'm intrigued. I'm told it is pretty complete and it is a ridged with a solo saddle. But until this lock down BS is over I won't have a chance to go see it, the owner doesn't want to take any chances.
Any place I can look for pictures and info?

Hey John, have a search for the Enfield Flying Flea. If that's what it is I would think it's pretty rare in the U.S.

Cheers,

cliffa.

Enfield owners club can help. Not sure what Hitchcock has in terms of spares but he knows a lot about Enfield.

Got a book I found on abebook.com, on Royal Enfiedl's by Mick Walker. Should be here sometime next week, the book not the bike. Haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. I was told that it had been imported from the UK many years ago.
I have looked at pictures of a Flying Flea and the 1 picture I got sows it to have a oblong crank case. The pictures of the Flying Flea that I have seen shows a round case on the right hand side.
More research to be done I think. Thanks for your input.

I looked at Hitchcock's web site but without knowing the year I don't want to buy any books. I did look at the RE owners club but to access their data base I would need to join which is fair enough if I had the bike. Still doing research and for me that is part of the fun. Spent 45 years working the parts counter at various Ford dealers and with the City of Phoenix and I enjoy the hunt for information. Yeah, I'm an odd duck.

Well that deal fell through. But he came across a 53 C11 BSA for free. It came with a A10 of the same year.
Life is an adventure.
