Norton trouble

Seriously, this is just like Enron back in the 1990's.
Employees invested their pension plans in Enron stock.
When Enron tanked in 2001, thousands of employees lost everything.

People like Garner rarely get their comeuppance.
It wouldn't surprise me if he had a patsy lined up right now.

There are lots of ways people like SG can duck n dive and protect themselves (sadly). I would not be surprised if he waltzes off Scott free...
Going by this statement, sadly there's an element of truth in it, but SG would have to cover his tracks well. He was forcefully removed from being the trustee of the pensions scandal due to the "conflict of interest " not that SG gives a flying sh*t about putting himself there in the first place.

Shit that SG says on his Instagram page just days ago is a slap in the face

Yes, you’re right, but he got his £3k fine for that, so, so long as he paid it, then he’s paid his dues and case closed.

I’m certain he’ll take some ‘stern criticism’ for his actions, I just doubt he’ll get what we all think he deserves.

I’d be glad to be wrong however...

I’m not at all interested in a Norton buy out. Especially if the norton brand were to leave the UK. If I wanted a Asian Bike I would of bought one.
Not so fast, check out Royal Enfield, they knew their market would be limited if the bikes were designed and built in India. So just down the road from Donnington they built a design and R&D centre. I belive it has hundreds of staff these days. They might not have made it to US shores yet, but the last 12 months of UK registrations alone smashed aside some major names here.
To get a bike made in the UK these days is nigh on impossible, a lot of skills have gone, young school leavers don't fancy standing and operating CNC machines. Things may change as you maybe surprised to find that the Chinese now use some specialist processing here in the UK, more for the sub 5000 quantity. Zongshen use Ricardo in the UK for engine design. Tata and Liberty HG own many foundry's and other plants in the UK. So it is about time Norton went Global, but keeping that UK heritage, Norton built world wide, sold world wide, providing I like the style, the ride, then I would buy in to it.

The Guardian is not quite correct about his pension advisor, Colfer, check him out and his form is everywhere including his past sentence in 2009/10. Garner claims he is a victim of him, well I suspect more will be uncovered by the investigation. He spouts words and must think we are all stupid and belive them, did he think that was all the guardian had on him, papers rarely disclose what they have all in one article, I am surprised he gave them a comment.
Just like his picuki video post this week, claiming it was sent in by an owner who forgot to leave his name and where the video was taken, strange when every other picture on his page was put up by him or his family.

Lies or silence... the question of how many produced was asked numerous times, directly to Norton personnel, but only silence, or vague none comital statements were received.

I've heard it said here and also from Clem and from statements by SG that the reason behind why we don't see many 961's on British roads is that 80%+ go overseas or to collections. I wonder now how many of that 80% were 'real' bikes and not just ledger entries! We simply have no idea of how many 961's in any format have been made. I've also just read on FB about Commando Sport buyers that haven't had their bikes, deposits taken but not built... I thought they had all been sold/built, it was only 50 of them after all!
