I’m done with Norton.I think you ought to forget about the bobber and look into that Superlight !
That’s odd that the bracket broke. That’s a ton of vibrations to cause that. It's one of those things that only mileage will answer. All I know is there are cases of the solid mounted megaphones breaking and none I'm aware of with the rubber mount breaking. I'm just offering my experience to date.
Speaking of vibration, this is what happened to my clutch reservoir bracket after a couple of years!
He posted on Twitter that a new US Distributor will be announced in early 2020.I’m done with Norton.
SG said you’re able to get one here in the states, but when? Where? And at what cost.
Yeah but the problem is, when will the bikes be delivered? He posted on Twitter that a new US Distributor will be announced in early 2020.
No disrespect, but I would find that hard to believe. The deposit may only be $500.
Are these mounts thicker ?View attachment 13260

You need to ditch those old mirror mounts and get these.
I saw or read here (maybe FE) that the Superlight was 19k pounds . Well , thats going to make it a 30k usd when said and done. Thats just the standard model . Its going to be "up there" for the carbon supercharge . My commando was cheaper by almost half. My common sense tells me to hold back at the moment and I am a strong supporter of Norton.

He also posted that a new global distributor network would be in place latter half of this year, that was in response to a query from 'down under'.He posted on Twitter that a new US Distributor will be announced in early 2020.
And replaced with these....

It’s odd that the aluminum bracket broke. The reservoir is fluid filled and remote mounted with a hose separating it. The fluid and hose should act as a vibration damper.
What time will you be at Norton stand Mr Eddie? The base price for the base model here in the U.K. is £19,950, so it’s certainly not a cheap motorcycle.
I think you’d have to be bonkers to put a deposit down in the USA until it is known you’ll get good dealer support etc.
We don’t know how much the SS version will be yet, my guess is around the £30,000 mark...
I’m going to the NEC show on Monday so will find out more then I hope, regarding the price, and also the weight...
The blower and extra cooling etc will add weight and cost. Too much of either of those and there’s no advantage over the V4. Let’s hope that’s not the case...

I should be there Monday 10.30 ish.10.00hrs... as soon as the doors open!
That’s if I go, I may have to delay to another day due to a work issue. Won’t know until late today.
You going to put your name down on a SL SS then??I should be there Monday 10.30 ish.
If they can supply me one with a Rotary engine..You going to put your name down on a SL SS then??
If they can supply me one with a Rotary engine..
That might be worth having!
I need a bike with a more elevated riding position..
Not that I’m old but.
