Well I’m going to kick this off with my 1977 Suzuki AP50 from new (£265 ) sports moped,1978 Yamaha RD250E from new (£595) together with a girlfriend at the time,& the 1977 Kawasaki Z650 second hand in 1980 for £250 as it was a bit rough & needed a good make over.
I’m sure many of us have pics we would rather forget of ourselves , but if the bikes in there to ? ,then be rude not to share .
Next please !

Oh & sought of had a idea for this from “ fast Eddie”

I have to be part of this. :D

1981 Melbourne, Australia.

I still have that Ricoh KR5 with the 1 minute it seems timer.

So Time warp ,what we looking at there ? A GT500 perhaps & the year ?

Yes I think so having the disc brake, they were rental bikes, my road bikes back at home (NZ) at the time were a 1974 750 H2B and a T100T.

I’d love to be a part of this thread, but I’ve trawled through all my old photos and simply cannot find any of me that are embarrassing...

First road bike, Honda SS50 I bought for £50. Words cannot convey the sense of excitement and freedom this little ‘ped gave me at 16! I sold it to a mate who chopped it !

best one i have read today.
Should we ask your kids to choose? Oops I see they have.

Christ on crutches! You guys were once kids! I thought all of you were born old farts. I was young until five this morning.... awoke to find myself with an old carcass surrounding me. I've no embarrassing pics to be found because lost women kept them, and are welcome to them if they remain lost. I'll check and see if one remains though.

Hand bag and had lunch with old mate on my last trip back to NZ.

When we see people riding with flip flops here we call them Japanese riding boots, in the first pic of the OP it looks like he is wearing his GF sandles lol.
In my younger days not many carried a camera while out on the bike.

Rob love the old Hills hoist clothes line in the back ground I still use one but its just about knacked from kids swing around on it, it survived my brothers and me when we were kids but it took my youngest daughter to finally break it, as my mum use to say bloody kids lol.

Yep - that was Mum & Dad's backyard at Moranbah (about 200 km west of Mackay which is 1000km north of Brisbane)
I actually cracked a helmet on one of those - massive kickback, trying to start a 450cc Honda single (overbored 350) under one, lifted me straight into it - sore neck, sore knee!

BTW - the blurriness of that last photo is because it was taken by the pillion on the back of my mate's Bol d'Or Honda.
She did fail well I think!
Chook (Gail Svanetti) I love ya! - wherever you are these days.
