Will do Eddie :) the nos manifold inserts just arrived as well so gotta sus what way those go in then just waiting for all the fuel lines to show up an new throttle cable.

Yeah is love to be able to do that for my rd350lc's alas its waiting for ages for stuff to come up for sale. Gotta love Norton's got bad weather again got the commando engine out then it started hail storming lol Joy's! Dying to get it stripped so I can drop the rest of it into Pete's then concentrate on the 650ss setup with the new carbs going to be interesting learning about them.

Going to be selling most of the Japanese bikes soon for another Norton or British bike not sure what yet :)

Gotta love the new parts available, but clearly you will have to get a file out and shave off the sides of these carbs flanges to make them fit!

He's got to have time to eat & use the facilities....maybe bathe & sleep & such. Young also meaning 'wimmen' to chase...Perhaps work.
Not an old fart like most of us.

Haha still waiting on my order of cables an fuel lines few lads are off this week at there end. No crazy rush :) never know though if they show up tomorrow got some dry days this weekend itching to get them fitted but until the cables an fuel lines arrive I'll hold off at least I can ride her till I've got everything then.

Redundant at the mo after the company shut so it's none stop bike stuff till I sus out a career change. Print industry has had its day in the UK.

Been working on the Commando engine an had a day at the motorcycle museum yesterday! Few pics on Instagram

Anyone know which way the inner sleeves go in? Got some nos ones an they have a cut out I'm guessing the cut out goes near the balance pipe so it doesn't block it. Not had a proper look yet.

Thanks everyone fingers crossed the parts turn up tomorrow meant to be nice weather over the weekend at a stop on the Commando so be cool to get the new fuel tap an carbs on. If not I'll go out on her how she is for a ride cant wait to get her up the cat and fiddle an see how she compares to the Commando on a trickier road.

One thing I was wondering everyone is there any sort of base setting for the pilot air screw on the Monoblocs like there is on the concentric do they fully seat then back out noticed it's on a spring looking at the manuals? Can see one of them being a bit of a pain to get to lol

Base setting: Turn pilot air screws fully in (CW), then turn them out 1 1/2 turns.

Slick

Well not gonna be much progress this weekend helping my uncle fix his GT750 :) all good fun an my cables an fuel lines haven't turned up yet hopefully they show up tomorrow as we tend to go out for a big ride every friday so be good to get her all set up over the next few days inbetween stripping the commando bottom end.

Fitted my 376 Amals I got brand new from Amal today had a nightmare fuel leak that took some sussing out after replacing part after part from an old 389 I had I found the cause of the problem! A wrongly machined float needle holder/seat going to phone them tomorrow and see what they have to say not the best start to a £400 + spend. Had all the issues with the incorrect pilot jets on the premiers then this gets a bit irritating after a bit good progress though!

Once I get the replacement seat/holder from them I can get it fired up again an get into the setup
