Robinson brake / Wideline Frame

Besides period timing, did somebody tried it on a heavy bike. I saw it once on a light 350 single Ducati at a Sunday Ride Classic in France at Le Castellet, and the owner was happy with it.

But am wondering on a 400 pounds bike.

One would hope that a modern manufacturer would use better materials and manufacturing methods than those used in the 60s.

I wouldn’t use another original Robinson, but I’d expect a new replica to be a good brake.

Yes , it's a replica , bought it long time ago from a french friend who import them from Italy, now it's on my Atlas (roadgoing one) , before it was on that cafe racer , which now have two front discs and brembo caliper, yes it is fine for an Atlas (std trim!), far better than the 2LS Commando I hadbefore on it (tho improved with stiffening kit and so and so ........

Was wondering about the replica quality because the hub is in two parts held together by rivets whose heads have been ground

How am I supposed to take that?

Not sure my little English will be able to follow you on the heights you are trying to bring us.

For those interested in, just checked with the company last saturday in Novegro, Italy.

It's not rivets, it's welded.
