Magnetic particle is more appropriate. You can find this services at most aeromotive rebuild shops.

what would happen if it let go just as you hit 6000 rpm in third passing a long line of cars, fully loaded Semi coming at you??

If I worried about stuff like that, I'd have to leave the old crocks at home. Since no one seems to have seen a crack like his before much less the catastrophic failure of such a crack, we're in highly speculative territory here.and..
