My grandson and I had a great time at the rally in Elma. For once we had no major failures or problems with either the bikes or the motor home. We did lose a turn signal light on each bike, on the MK3 from a trailer mishap, and on the 961 because the PO had replaced the stockers with units that didn't mount properly, and broke the holder.

Had a great time meeting old friends and riding some great roads. This is a picture of our bikes at the never finished nuclear site.

And this is a shot of the view down the road from the free morning coffee tent.

And a shot of some Nortons in a row

And some of these are from the Canadian contingent.

Someday I'll make it to one of those rallies.

You missed the heat wave that hit the Southland.

You really should, John. You'd enjoy it. And I didn't miss the heat wave at all. In fact I enjoyed avoiding it:). But now it's back.

The 3rd picture down of the 6 Norton's lined up was to show the bikes that George Kraus restored, all of them. George Kraus Restorations, Portland, Oregon. Does fantastic work. His bike at far end won 1st place Modified and dark blue 1968 Fastback took 1st place Low Production Class. 3rd bike from right won 2nd place in I think Mark III. Also the Fastback was determined to be the oldest known Commando in the world as of this date. I believe this was verified by a gentleman from England attending the rally and is a past president of NOC there. I think I got everything right on this. If not, George or Brock pen in on these facts.

I had a great time, next time we'll have to set a board meeting point so that we can put faces to names and avatars...

Hi all,

My Sony camera developed an issue and did not work properly at this years Tall Timber rally.I used my Samsung S8 cell phone instead, good enough for point and shoot work.

I've been working on the INOA rally pics off and on as time allows I think the best version of my stuff is easily seen on my YouTube channel. It contains several videos of the fun & games at the field events. See it here: . Eventually, I'll try adding a narration to explain what you're looking at. I've also posted this link to the INOA Facebook page. You can also view the still photos from the rally as my most recent addition to my shutterfly albums at www.mymotolife.shutterfly.com

Once again I want to thank all who took the time, effort and expense to make our annual rallies so worthwhile for the Norton faithful.
