Hi - My Euro4 2017 CR has just reached 2000 miles so I took a look at the little plastic oil catch bottle behind the port side footpeg. It was about 3/4 full so I duly emptied it - I wonder how full it is getting for other new users?

I have read posts from others with the catch bottle saying they get a small amount from time to time.
I had the oil-in-airbox fix done last year. Only put on about 600 miles since, but the bottle is bone dry and I tend to thrash my 961 a bit so I was surprised that I had no oil output.

Not complaining though.

after 600 miles I had 1/3 of that little bottle full. Since my run in service, I've done some 700miles more, but only a little bottom in that bottle now..

1500 mile half full approx , 3000 miles full , depends on how u ride , higher the revs the more it will catch, I pull mine out & wash it out in petrol from time to time .2016 bike

I don't have a catch bottle. I have clear tubing yet I leave it unplugged. My oil level hasn't changed in 2,000 miles, my air filter from 2014 still looks like new. No signs of oil anywhere. Bike, rear tire, brakes, frame. I'm not that concerned.

Your engine must be really sound Curtis ,cause I know u like the higher revs to !

Mine was just approx 1/4 full at 600 mile and emptied. It is now approx. 1/3 full at 1240 mile. I'm pretty sure I read/heard somewhere to expect a full bottle every 2k miles?

There may be a minimal amount being expelled, however, no spots on the floor nor noticeable change in level. As for high revs, I don't wind it out through the gears, I just like to crack it to 100+ once in a while. Don't forget, I went down first time in over 40 years. At my age, it was a blow to my confidence. I've mellowed a bit.
