Details

Frame Details:

 • Frame #202915 (visible on original plate)
 • Completely straight - no bends, damage, or previous repairs
 • All isolastic mounting points intact and proper
 • All lugs, tabs, and mounting points present and solid
 • Steering head in good condition
 • Original factory VIN plate included

Condition - Full Disclosure:The frame was powder coated in gloss black but shows moderate wear from storage. Multiple scuffs, scrapes, and some areas worn through to bare metal from handling over the years. The finish would benefit from touch-up or complete refinishing for a show-quality restoration.

The Important Part:The frame itself is structurally sound and straight. For anyone doing a proper restoration, you're going to strip and refinish anyway. For a rider build, it's perfectly usable as-is. The real value here is having a straight frame with its original factory VIN plate - increasingly hard to find.

'72 was a great year for Commandos - right in the sweet spot before the 850 changeover.

Price: $350 CAD - FIRE SALE, LOSING MY STORAGE

Happy to answer questions or provide additional photos. Looking for serious builders who understand that cosmetics are easy, but finding straight original-number frames is getting harder every year.

Two pairs of side covers, well built although Indian-manufactured aftermarket. The white pair fit my Mk IIa - and fit better than the OeM ones which were rusted. No guarantee that they will fit yours though. The silver/grey pair do not fit the Mk IIa. Sorry but I have no idea what they will...
