I have my fingers crossed for Yves.

@Jagbruno please ensure that the doctors remember to put in this important piece of the puzzle:

so the thats what i've been missing....:D

Good luck Yves!
Crikey mate, you don't do things by halves do you!
Ditto - You certainly seem to be "all in" with whatever you're doing there Yves. Better get the titanium valve keepers /collets to go with those new valves --because you know you will be revving it up, going full bore at it again, just as soon as the Doc gives you the green light. Best wishes & Get well soon, Cj

Update July 10th: I went to visit Yves this afternoon, he is in a top hospital and is well cared for. Obviously he is quite weak but in a very positive and combative mood. I showed him your messages, he is can’t thank you enough for your kindness and support

His surgery will take place Tuesday at noon, it will last for about 5 hours.

Thank you for being there for him, on our behalf.

I'm always very sorry to hear that it takes such a horrible situation to get people off of the cigarettes, but we all have our own demons. I hope and pray that Yves will be renewed from the very successful surgery, and that you @Jagbruno and his friends and family can KEEP HIM FROM SMOKING at all costs. Nobody said life will be easy... (if anyone said it, they LIED)

Chers amis,

During my first marriage, I led a very stressful life. After I divorced and remarried, I was full of cholesterol. I could not walk 3 metres without having angina. So I had a double by-pass heart op. To me facing that was like the day I rode at Phillip Island, crashed in morning practice, then fronted up on the start line at 2 PM in the afternoon. As you approach turn one. it is blind. You can fly around there and find guys crashing all over the landscape. Or you might go around there and find all is blackness.

Update Monday July 12th:

Surgery is planned for Tuesday 8am local time and should last 4-5 hours. Yves will then be kept in narcose for a day or two.
I will post updates as soon as I get news.
His morale is high, Yves being the brave guy he always has been.
Thank you very much for your support and friendship.

My Cousin does heart surgery, he assures me reman units with a warranty (like oil pumps) will be available by the time I need one. I hope he's not joking, lol.
May God guide the hands of the talented and dedicated healthcare staff working on Yves.

UPDATE July 13th:

YES!
The surgery went as planned and Yves is now recovering in ICU where he will be maintained in artificial coma (narcosis) for at least another 6 hours before the doctors will decide when to start the waking up procedure.

I spoke with his wife Marina who is every bit as brave as he is (she has to be, spending her life with a guy like Yves ).

We can’t thank you enough for the support you have been sending Yves’ way.
The most difficult part is now behind him, even if the path to full recovery is still long.

Bruno
