You know, I saw that and seriously considered it. lol It's freaking cool, but man I would hate to steer it.
It's a good thing the guy didn't have enough money to finish destroying that bike. Hopefuly he wasn't stupid enough to have cut the frame. It may not be a super rare bike like a Vincent or such but those hacks would cut one of those up anyway. Sometimes it's hard for me to draw a line as to what should not be messed with & what just doesn't matter but a ten foot long front end? That's not cool that's just stupid!

I guess a lot of bikes get destroyed by idiots trying to ape the morons on those chopper TV shows.................not sure any home bike builder is likely to do anything quite as stupid as making a frame out of welded together anchor chain, which was done by a so called professional on one of the TV shows.....................lol

I made my last chopper out of a cut up featherbed frame and some PBR cans. Looked good, but tasted better.

A properly designed and built custom bike is fine, but poor engineering with little or no thought put into what is trying to be achieved, seems only too common nowadays, with many custom builders seemingly wanting something that simply looks different..............

I've tried to stay of this, but can't. Reacurring theme is getting bothersome.
This is how it looks to me... the bike is a seventies relic, abused, and modified as style deemed correct in some circles, the present owner looks to have pulled it out of some garage, got it running and found out what Lucas really means, can't get his head around it, and wants out.
There were tons of bikes like that around here in the '60s and '70s. Talking to greybeards and looking at the old photos show that "style" seemed somewhat more important than go back then. I've bought some of these old rusting relics and parted them out to help out, and to fund my own hotrod-choppping or modern bikes modding.
Bad engineering ideas and/or bad taste have been around a lot longer than "chopper TV".

Just that ridiculous chopper TV seems to have revived destroying bikes in the same way as was popular in the 60s 70s..............but engineering today seems to be even worse than back in the day, which is not really surprising as that shown on the TV shows is pretty poor.
