What's happening at Norton? Sale to TVS, massive investment, new bikes...

It's the eighth wettest year ever recorded here in New Hampshire.

Rust, root rot & cabin fever prevail.

Lots of positive press

Bespoke, Iconic..... don't begin to even do justice.

What's happening at Norton? Sale to TVS, massive investment, new bikes...

All these last 52 years, I felt there was something "missing" from my motorcycles. I just didn't know WHAT.

Oh that's interesting, they've switched suppliers .....used to be Racebolt UK.
Pictures of the V4SS that I'm currently working on.

Nothing really new here but with further reference to forthcoming Norton ICE motorcycles, water cooled, Euro 5 compliant for export.

First reference I‘ve heard to smaller capacity (commuter?) EV’s before premium/sports models? Not sure how well that will go down ; depending on which market they are aiming for?

Not exporting to the US currently (for reasons understood) but taking orders? For what?

About the worst press article I have seen, how did Norton allow the publication of that. I gave up at the 'soaring electric sales' clearly not correct - ask livewire and other top electric bike manufacturers.
I suspect Garner broke a rib laughing so much when he read it.

Not the best ever written of course, but each adds a little to the conversation - if it’s only derision😄!

Not sure we can measure the future success (or otherwise) of EV bikes by Hardly Drivable’s failed, early attempt. None of us are keen (or willing) to give up our ICE bikes and nor will we need to in our lifetime, but Norton needs to get onboard as virtually all motorcycle manufacturers have.

No EV = no (TVS/UK Gov) money = no Norton. Not a coinkidink that India is the world’s second largest EV bike market, behind Chiiiiiiiina!

The TE-1 was developed in the same site a that being used by Norton, expect similarities. Speaking to electric bike manufacturers as I would use one for commuting, sadly they all say the same thing, to get the performance and range I need the technology is around 10 years away. Slow and long range and Fast and little range are not a problem at the moment the middle ground is the challenge.
