Hi Peter.
Burlen/AMAL have all sizes as, I believe, 2-stroke Concentric may use the screw-in pilot jet.

You are right, you'd have to chuck it out for it to disappear.
Could it be that you have one carby with a screw-in and one with the pressed-in bush?
Ta.

I had forgotten they were screw-in initially as I poked my #78 drill bit on a stick into the holes and wondered why it went in so easy, so no, they are both screw in, (though I will now have to have another look!).

I have a 1968 BSA Thunderbolt with a single 928. It has a screw-in pilot jet and along with that a fuel bowl with no drain plug. Not sure but I think these two features go hand in hand on an un molested older original Amal consentric. Of course it would quite easy to swap out a fuel bowl for one with a drain, which I've done.
